Done in photoshop... took about 8 layers for the face alone... the kimono is obviously painted on... Please dont say something stupid like "whats up with her mouth, yo?" The Japanese find very small mouths as attractive as Americans find full pouty lips. Women often painted only a small part of their mouths.

removed the strange random bit of feather on her kimono...next i may develop a pattern for it...

Very Awesome! I'm a geisha fanatic (I know - what a sad little person I am) and that is pretty fan-frickin-tastic. You actually painted on the kimono? wow. I'm pretty much a looser when it comes to visual artistics, but knowing people like you, who can make beautiful pictures like that kinda makes up for it a little.
